Адвекционная схема консервативна, если она обеспечивает
выполнение законов сохранения. т.е. не приводит к изменению массы
и количества движения системы:

Под диссипацией понимается свойство адвекционной схемы,
проявляющееся в «размазывании» профиля волны в пространстве и
времени.
Под дисперсией понимается свойство адвекционной схемы,
проявляющееся в том, что волны различной длины распространяются
в пространстве с различной скоростью. Высокочастотные волны
распространяются медленнее, чем низкочастотные.
Схема донорских ячеек является монотонной, консервативной
и быстрой. Недостатком адвекционных схем первого порядка
точности, в том числе и схемы донорских ячеек, является их сильная
диссипативность. Это существенно ограничивает возможности их
применения. Схема донорских ячеек обладает и сильной дисперсией.
Однако вызванные дисперсией ошибки скрываются ошибками
диссипации. В результате этого высокочастотные волны
распространяются медленнее и быстро затухают.
