heaters in the rear pump compartment.

2.1.4.2 Suction Line Strainer

A wye strainer is located in the rear pump compartment in the line running
from the flush water tanks to the pump. Gates valves adjacent to the
strainer can be closed to the strainer without draining the flush water
tanks. Remove and clean strainer screen every 100 hours.

2.1.4.3 Water Pressure Relief Valve

An adjustable water pressure relief valve is located inside the pump
compartment at the water pump outlet. This valve is factory set to provide
a pressure of 60 psi (4.14 bar)  5 psi at the end of the hose. Before
adjusting this valve, the hydraulic pressure should be tested and all
plumbing checked for leaks or loose fittings. See Section 3, Adjustments,
for adjustment procedure.

2.3 | ADJUSTMENTS 2.3.1 | PTO and Pump Combination

For additional information see Parker Power take offs Owner’s Manual
HY25-1FRD-M1/US available on the web.

2.3.2 | Hydraulic Pressure Relief Valve

Adjustment
The hydraulic pressure relief valve is located in the rear compartment
near the hydraulic motor. Adjust as follows:
1. Insert an adjustable flow-regulating valve just downstream from the
hydraulic relief valve.
2. Insert the water fill hose in the water tank fill port so that water
cycles through the tank and water pump.
3. Engage the water switch for several minutes to warm up the
hydraulic system.
4. While another person holds the water control switch engaged,
slowly close the valve installed in step 1 while watching pressure
gauge. Pressure should rise to the preset system pressure of 750
(103 bar), but go no higher.
5. If pressure is incorrect, adjust as follows:
• To increase the pressure setting, turn the valve adjustment
shaft clockwise (inward).
• To decrease the pressure setting, turn the valve adjustment
shaft counter-clockwise (outward).
6. When adjustment is completed, tighten the jam nut.
7. Remove the flow regulating valve installed in step 1.

2.3.4 | Water Pressure Relief Valve

Adjustment
The water pressure relief valve is located on top of the water pump in the
NOTE: rear compartment. To adjust the valve, follow these steps:

cable adjustment. 4. Have another person observe the pressure gauge. Factory pressure is
set at 60 psi (4.14 bar) on the relief valve. Stinar readjusts it to 30 Psi.
5. If the pressure is more than 5 psi above or below 30 psi, unscrew
the cap over the water pressure relief valve adjusting screw.

6. To increase water pressure, turn the adjusting screw clockwise
(inward).
7. To decrease water pressure, turn the adjusting screw counter-
clockwise (outward).
8. When the pressure is correct, screw the cap back onto the valve and
remove the test equipment.

2.3.5 Throttle Advance

The throttle advance system is interconnected using Dodge and Stinar
circuity. The system does not require any adjustment. There is a 15 second
delay inherent in the Dodge throttle advance system. When the pumping
system is activated the engine RPM’s will increase to 1100 RPM’s
