2/The  Novosibirsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre is one of the three leading opera and ballet
theaters in Russia.

3/The theater building is the largest theater construction in Russia, erected in nineteen forty one(1941).
4/The unique design of the theater is a dome with a diameter of 60 meters and a height of 35 meters,
which allows up to 1,500 spectators to be accommodated in the large hall.

По техническому оснащению и акустике главный новосибирский храм культуры превосходит

знаменитые Большой и Мариинский театры. В его репертуаре 26 оперных спектаклей, 23 балета и

сезон ставятся различные спектакли. Ежегодно труппа пополняется новыми лицами, выходцами
из театральных институтов. Многие жители признают, что Театр «Глобус» - один из самых
любимых и посещаемых в городе. Здесь проходят фестивальные, культурные, образовательные,
дискуссионные и благотворительные проекты, театральные экскурсии, циклы образовательных и
развлекательных программ, квесты и выставки. Практически каждый сезон приглашаются новые
режиссеры, создавая таким образом поколения режиссеров. В репертуаре театра «Глобус»
спектакли разных направлений - мелодрамы, масковые комедии, ситкомы, психологические и
философские пьесы интеллектуального характера. Особое внимание по-прежнему уделяется
детским спектаклям, основанным прежде всего на классических сказках.

Traffic Light Monument

23/The Traffic Light Monument is the first traffic light monument in Russia, located in the Central District
of Novosibirsk.

24/The monument is a sculptural composition in the form of a sentry who greets a traffic light.

25/One of the first traffic lights in Novosibirsk was installed in this place in 1936.

26/It was a manual three-section electric traffic light.

27/The placement of the first traffic lights near educational institutions took place at the order of the
city authorities for the safety of schoolchildren.
28/The opening ceremony of the monument took place on June 25, 2006, on the City Day of
Novosibirsk.

29/The monument is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the formation of the traffic police.

Памятник светофору - первый в России памятник светофору, расположенный в Центральном

районе Новосибирска. Памятник представляет собой скульптурную композицию в виде часового,
встречающего светофор.

Один из первых светофоров в Новосибирске был установлен на этом месте в 1936 году. Это был
ручной трехсекционный электрический светофор. Размещение первых светофоров возле учебных
заведений произошло по заказу городских властей для обеспечения безопасности школьников.

Церемония открытия памятника состоялась 25 июня 2006 года, в День города Новосибирска.
Памятник посвящен 70-летию образования ГИБДД.
