Lucas Hurtado is 14 years old and attends Classical High School in
Providence, Rhode Island. He started playing the piano at the age of 6. He
regularly attends the Chopin Young Musician's Club where he was vice-
president last year. Annually, he participates in the Solo Ensemble Competition
where he has received a perfect score in the recent years. He takes lessons
with Nonetta Shatakhtsian at the Rhode Island Philharmonic Music School. In
addition to classical piano, he has also played jazz piano with a band at school
for the last 3 years.
