The project is strategically situated in Montreal’s vibrant district, ‘Place des Arts.’ With a primary focus on enhancing the area’s green spa-
ces and fostering a seamless continuation of cultural activities, my proposal seeks to establish a harmonious link between two significant
public spaces. To the west lies the picturesque ‘Parterre du quartier des spectacles’ park, while to the east stands the notable ‘Maison
du développement durable,’ accompanied by a park to its south.
My vision revolves around the creation of a captivating ‘Corridor Park,’ connecting these two public spaces via a central promenade.
Along this picturesque walkway, diverse public activities will be thoughtfully placed, catering to individuals of all ages. The concept is
inspired by the intrigue one experiences while traversing a building with adjacent rooms, each hosting distinct uses and themes. In a
similar fashion, visitors on this journey will encounter a variety of engaging experiences, piquing their curiosity as they anticipate the
delights that lie ahead.
The ‘Corridor Park’ will serve as an inviting space, seamlessly blending nature, culture, and recreational elements. It will undoubtedly
become a delightful pathway for locals and tourists alike, fostering a stronger sense of community and providing a serene escape within
the bustling city. By embracing the spirit of the district and capitalizing on its existing attractions, the project will serve as a testament to
Montreal’s commitment to sustainable urban development and enriching the lives of its residents.

The design of the park follows organic shapes, providing con-
tinuity and better connections between spaces. I believe that
organic layouts complement nature and outdoor activities, as
they seamlessly integrate with the surroundings. At times, the
main promenade may be wider to accommodate benches and
trees, while at other points, it narrows to encourage pedestri-
an circulation. This dynamic interaction with adjacent spaces
allows the promenade to expand when it encounters import-
ant areas, inviting pedestrians to explore them.

STORAGE
LEED V4 NEIGHBORHOODS
Based on the LEED V4 specifically in the section corresponded to LEED-ND, I decided to follow the guidelines for a sustainable neigh-
borhood for the uses and the general design of the park. For the promenade I base design on the credit 4 that talks about the reduce
of water pollution. So my objective is that all water runoff can be stored and avoid any way to leave the site. For that I decided to use
a Bioswale along the promenade which is an excellent choice to harvest all the water runoff. The Bioswale is a natural way to harvest
water runoff and remove any pollutants and contamination from it. Besides it can be vegetated which enhance the landscape estheti-
cally wise and reduce the heat island effect.Following the guidelines of the LEED-ND, I decided to comply the credit 15 about recycled
content in infrastructure. My objective is that all the furniture of the park can come from recycled wood, such as unused pallets, which
are very versatile when it comes to adapt them to furniture, their square shapes can be use to create any design layout for tables and
chairs. As another concept for the space arrangement and activities for the park, I decided to include educational and cultural infras-
tructure, where people can be informed and they can do workshops about sustainability, urban farms and reducing ecological foot
print at home. Lastly the park will have spaces for leisure, workout and a bicycle parking.
WATER MANAGEMENT
The park counts with vegetation that has low irrigation, so most of the water run-off goes to the water stream in the bioswale where
this removes the pollutants in the water. After that a subterranean storage tank is filled and the water can be recycled.
The park does not have more than 40% of hard surfaces and the extensive use of vegetation in all over the park provides shadows and
fresh the temperature as well as a clear reduction of the heat island effect of the park, with this one of the most important credits in
LEED-ND.

This project is a single-family house designed with a strong emphasis on minimizing its environmental impact. To achieve this goal,

the main structure and finishes of the house are constructed using wood, a sustainable and eco-friendly material. Throughout the
design process, special attention was given to the construction details, ensuring

ness. A key aspect of the design is optimizing natural light within the house. Vertical windows are strategically placed all over the

main facades, allowing ample sunlight to flood the interior spaces. The incorporation of double-height social areas further enhances

ENGATIVÁ CULTURAL CENTER

Bogotá is a city of 118.67 sq. mi. But just the center of the city has cultural spaces, where the people can express their selves, doing ac-
tivities such as workshops, clubs and arts. Due to the long distances between the neighborhoods and the downtown and the deficient
public transport system, most of the citizens do not have the time to go to those cultural centers.
Therefore I proposed a cultural center located in one of the furthest neighborhoods from the downtown, giving the chance to the
people to explore their hobbies.
The main design concept is focus on giving continuity to the parks around the site, so the first floors occupy a small portion of the lot.
In this sense most the ground floor can be green areas. This idea is also support by the organic shape of the building.

26 St towers are located in Bogota´s down town. The project combines dierent uses such as residential, office, commercial and cultu-
ral. it is a public building at the first floors. The main goal is to give more public space to the city as well as create a intersocial space
where the people can integrate each other.
The towers and the platform increase their high from south to north, because the neighborhood at south has a low average high-buil-
ding, so I try to reduce the impact of the towers by doing this gradual increasing. Most of the people come from south so this gradual
increasing in high receive the visitors and the owners.
All the commercial area in the first floor have a special facade with street art. Because Bogota has a big street art culture and the pro-
ject wants to be integrated with it and be recognized as a symbol of it.

The AJM Institute’s new headquarters establishes a new collaborative and diverse work-space in a state of the art environmentally
dynamic building. The design configures a new vertical circulation in a 6 story 8000 sf structure that manages to inform both the func-
tions of the building and its environmental agenda. The section foregrounds connectivity, day-lighting, energy and water conservation.
Among the many complexities of the project that Scalar resolves, the integration with a landmarked historical fabric and the design of
a compact vertical circulation remain the most challenging.

Located at the site of the great Saudi Camel Festival—with its races, auctions, and beauty contests—that already attracts two million
visitors each January, the new city adds a vast range of activities, events, and facilities that will enliven the place year-round and draw
tens of millions of visitors from all over the world.
Our project seeks to both capture and diversify the energy of the current concentrated activities and amazing events, to both order
and augment this phenomenon of gathering. We do not seek to alter the central rituals and procedures of the Festival but to devise a
congenial environment in which they can take place.
The desert is landscape in one of its most seemingly attenuated forms. Although it teems with dynamism and life, we too often see it
as a barren spectacle. This project seeks, by contrast, to celebrate the desert’s special diversity of form and life, to be both in and of
the desert.

The traditional urban street grid on the ground floor is largely maintained primarily to accommodate existing and ongoing develop-
ments. This ubiquitous and normative grid traditionally favors motorized vehicular traffic over pedestrian traffic and is incompatible
with future developments of more social, more ecological and denser urban spaces giving preference to pedestrians and slow moving
traffic. Our design radically changes this unbalanced relationship by preferencing pedestrians, bicycles as well as small autonomous
light electric vehicles we are anticipating in the not too distant future to be able to freely circulate throughout the different levels of
this new organic garden-city concept.+
