In this course you can expand your English for academic study.
Who is this course for?
This course is for any student who plans to study at a university where English is
the main language. This is primarily for students whose native language is not
English, but will also be useful for students who enter institutions of higher
learning after a long period of time after graduation or who are mature students
looking to update their academic skills. This will help prepare students to study
online and on campus.
The course provides the opportunity to learn about the key vocabulary and
concepts used in universities and what students' mentors expect of them. There is
also the opportunity to practice skills that will help you expand your vocabulary
for the academic environment, including tools that help you pronounce new words.
Interpret key academic vocabulary and explore its importance and relevance for
successful university studies in the UK.
Use the vocabulary to expand your vocabulary.
This course can prepare you for studies by helping you communicate successfully
in an academic environment. You will learn how to create successful writing at
university, how to use source texts in your work and how to develop your listening
skills. You will also have the opportunity to develop your presentation skills and
find effective ways to prepare you for university exams.
This course is oriented towards communication. Throughout the course you will
have the opportunity to communicate with other students or teachers to improve
your English. I have had the opportunity not only to do the course assignments but
