MODULE DESCRIPTION
• Module objective This module is designed to prepare the technician to locate, identify, and describe
the functionality of all major components of the implement system, and to perform
testing procedures on the implement hydraulic system. Lab exercises will be used
for skill development and a post-assessment will test the participant’s knowledge.
• Competency statement At the completion of this course, participants will be required to successfully
complete lab exercises and a post-assessment.
• Classroom/lab ratio This module includes 40% theory (classroom) and 60% practical (lab).
LEARNING OUTCOMES
• Module learning outcome This R1600H Underground Loader Implement System module is designed to
prepare the participant to locate, identify, and describe the functionality of all major
components of the implement system and to properly test the implement hydraulic
system, to be able to efficiently diagnose and repair the implement system.
• Visual presentation Participants take notes on the location and function of the implement system
components during a visual presentation.
• Lab 1 Given the appropriate reference material and the Lab 1 Worksheets, participants
will be able to locate, identify, and explain the functionality of the implement system
components during a lab exercise.
• Lab 2 Given the appropriate reference material and the Lab 2 Worksheets, participants
will be able to perform cycle time and drift time checks as well as implement
system hydraulic pressure tests during a lab exercise.
• Post-Assessment Given all reference material and class notes, participant will be able to identify the
implement system components and functions during a post-assessment.
Instructions: During the lab exercise, use this sheet as a checklist when identifying components and fill in the component
