The International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk", also known as
Slavic Bazaar, is an annual festival held in Vitebsk, It’s main program is devoted
to Slavic music. The main participants are artists from Russia, Belarus, Ukraine,
countries of the former Yugoslavia, Poland, and Bulgaria with guests from many
other countries, both Slavic and non-Slavic.
Славянский базар в Витебске.

I would like to tell you about the Slavic Bazaar, which I was lucky enough to visit, since
my husband’s holiday last year coincided with the time of it. There are many music
festivals in Belarus, but Slavic Bazaar is the most favorite.
Prices are reasonable. Some cafes are open 24/7. Music plays everywhere,
competitions and exhibitions take place, you can watch...
Advantages: Excellent train connections, special flights directly to the concert. Lots of
cafes and shopping stalls.
I visit Belarus very often, I have a lot of good impressions and joy during my trips.
Vitebsk is a very clean city, you can spend a lot of time on the street, a large number of
shops, fairs, exhibitions, the old city and its variety of shapes are very impressive...

I liked everything - the city, the people, the opening concert. But I can’t help but
express that what I considered complete humiliation and disrespect was the security
screening procedure for the concert. So during the inspections I was never humiliated
anywhere...
Advantages: A clean green city, I am glad that the cultural heritage is being preserved.
Disadvantages: Prices are high. Compliance with safety is a humiliation.
"Slavic Bazaar" is held every summer in Vitebsk. But this is a holiday not only for
Vitebsk residents, but for all residents of Belarus and guests from neighboring
countries. The streets are very crowded, the mood is high, music is coming from nearby
cafes....
Yes, I do like the festival , because it’s very good thing to break your routine.

Special Occasions Explained in English

Wedding anniversary
I enjoy that day because I believe that celebrating wedding anniversaries
is important since it allows us to reflect on the years since the event and
how it has influenced us and to the continued success of your marriage.
Мне нравится этот день, потому что я считаю, что празднование годовщины свадьбы важно, поскольку
оно позволяет нам задуматься о годах, прошедших после этого события, и о том, как оно повлияло на
нас.

Every year we always have dinner at a fancy restaurant to mark our

wedding anniversary. We celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary last
week with a dinner at an expensive restaurant.
For our next anniversary, we will most likely plan something spectacular,
such as a trip somewhere. This year, I would have preferred to spend time
somewhere more romantic, but it was difficult to organise because my
husband was working and I needed to prepare for examinations.
I'm hoping to schedule things for the next wedding anniversary and take
lots of pictures to capture the event.
