1 - PRESENTATION
1-1 Description
The SIDEOS One is a configurable system for speed monitoring designed to secure the lifting of a handling
equipment.
> It is set according to:
- The lifting characteristics Parameters
• Number of encoder pulses per revolution NC
• Nominal speed of lifting in rpm NS
• Deceleration time DT
- The selected functions
• Speed thresholds to monitor SP1-SP2-SP3
• Dynamic Slipping TS
• Break of the kinematic chain TS and DS
• Encoder monitoring RC
- The number of pulses to confirm an Overspeed
• Validation Overspeed 1, Static and Dynamic Slippings VS1
• Validation Overspeed 2 VS2
• Validation Overspeed 3 and kinematic chain break VS3
Access to the parameters is protected by a locking mode.
It receives:
- The speed signal(s) of the installation
- The functional orders of the lifting control of the handling equipment.

RESTART
As indicated in the diagrams examples above, start or restart of the SIDEOS One may not open the safety brakes (KF=0), but only
enables the opening of the brakes from a control station, allowing a good visibility of the dangerous area or following a specific
procedure (for example : restart alarm).

After each test restore the SIDEOS One in its previous configuration, make a RESTART and proceed with the following test.
12 - DIAGNOSIS
> The following indicators provide access to diagnosis information for a quick troubleshooting of your application :
- LED lights on the front of the SIDEOS One
- LCD displays (line 2).
> When the voltage is applied on the SIDEOS One: the LED POWER ON lights up in green
> When the SIDEOS One makes an Autotest:
- The LED TEST flashes Orange.
- The supply of KDS and KSV contactors is cut-off.
- The LCD display indicates an Autotest.
> When SIDEOS One validated the Autotests:
- The LED TEST lights up in green.
- The supply of KDS and KSV contactors is validated.
- The LCD display indicates the active speed parameter and its value
> When a Test Fault occurs :
- The LED TEST lights up in red.
- The supply of KDS and KSV contactors remains cut-off.
- The LCD display indicates an Autotest Fault
> When a System Fault occurs :
- The LED SYSTEM FAULT lights up.
