Purchaser: The party who awards the purchase order or contract. The purchaser may be
Company or Company's authorised agent.
Fire Sprinkler Systems: An automatic water extinguishment system equipped with normally
closed sprinklers which will open when predetermined temperature has been attained.
Note: Standby sprinkle systems, by whether their piping is filled with a liquid fire-
firefighting agent, or an air pressure are classified as “wet” (water filled) and “dry”
(with dry pipes), correspondently (ST RoK 116-2002 сlause 3.128).
Deluge fire systems: A water fire extinguishing system with normally open sprinkles
installed shall be designed to detect and extinguish fires for the overall rated area and to

Water Sprinkler System: Water Sprinkler System: An integrated system of underground and
overhead piping connected to a water supply and equipped with sprinklers which are attached
to the overhead piping in a systematic pattern. A water sprinkler system is used for indoor
applications e.g. buildings, warehouses etc. The sprinkler system pipework will be closed
system, pressurized either dry or wet depending on the surrounding ambient conditions. The
system is activated by heat from a fire, with sprinklers only operating when the temperature
has been reached, Once activated water then flows under pressure out of the open sprinklers
only.
Water Spray Nozzle: an open or automatic (self actuating) device that, when discharging
water under pressure, will distribute the water in a specific, directional pattern.
Water Spray System: An automatic or manually actuated fixed pipe system connected to a
water supply and equipped with water spray nozzles designed to provide a specific water flow
rate and particle size discharge and distribution over the protected surfaces or area. Water
Spray Systems are used for equipment and larger process type areas (e.g., loading racks or
