“Christ is risen from the dead” (thrice) is read at the beginning
of the Hours, Vespers, Compline, Midnight Office, and
Matins, taking the place of “Heavenly King.” So in the case
of the services which begin with the trisagion prayers. At 1st
Hour, 6th Hour, and Vespers (assuming the 9th Hour
preceded), by tradition, it replaces “Come let us worship and
fall down.”
“Heavenly King” is not read nor sung until the day of the
Holy Trinity (Pentecost).

At the entrance prayers before the Liturgy, instead of O
Heavenly King, we read Christ is risen from the dead x3; and
the other prayers as usual.

Dismissal
Priest: May He Who is risen from the dead, Christ
our true God, through the prayers of His most pure
Mother, of the holy glorious apostle Thomas and of
all the saints, have mercy on us and save us, for He
is good and He loveth mankind.
And on Sundays he signs with the Cross on three sides
(middle, left, right), exclaiming loudly just before each
signing:
Priest: Christ is risen!
People: Truly He is risen!
Choir: Christ is risen from the dead, / trampling
down death by death, // and upon those in the
tombs bestowing life. (thrice, quickly, then:)
(Tone 8) And unto us He hath given eternal life.
Let us worship His resurrection on the third day!

смерть попра́в// и су́щим во гробе́х живо́т
Иерей: Воскресы́й из ме́ртвых Христо́с,

По воскресеньям осеняет предстоящих Крестом на три
стороны, громко произнося при каждом осенении:
Иерей: Христо́с воскре́се!
Люди: Воистину воскресе!
Лик: Христо́с воскре́се из ме́ртвых,/ сме́ртию
смерть попра́в// и су́щим во гробе́х живо́т
дарова́в. (Трижды, поскору)
И нам дарова́ живо́т ве́чный, покланя́емся Его́
тридне́вному Воскресе́нию.
