Цель Применение полученных знаний по теме “In the airport ”на практике.

Задачи Обучающие: создание благоприятных условий, стимулирующих учащихся на свои собственные суждения и высказывания по
теме урока, совершенствование практических навыков владения лексикой по теме путем привлечения дополнительного
материала, развитие навыков восприятия речи на слух и навыков чтения с целью основного и полного понимания
прочитанного, развитие навыков говорения, памяти, внимания и быстрой реакции; совершенствование умения выражая свое
отношение к высказыванию партнера, работать в команде над решением единой проблемы; анализировать и оценивать свою
деятельность по изучению данной темы;
Развивающие: Развивать умения строить самостоятельные устные высказывания на основе усвоенного учебного материала,
логическое мышление.
Воспитательные: создание условий для формирования у обучающихся уважения и интереса к учению, воспитание
коллективизма, находчивости, творческого отношения к решаемым вопросам.

Can you imagine being a passenger at a big international airport?
II. The role game “At the Airport”
1) T: OK. Today you are a group of students. David is a leader of your group. You are the staff at the airport. Now you are in London at a big
international Heathrow airport. You arrived from Moscow. You are travelling to Vancouver, Canada. Your flight is AC-39. You are visitors,
want to see Canada and learn English. You have the instructions how to act in the airport.(Показать виды аэропорта)
2) At the beginning I’d like to know if you remember the words . Look at the screen and tell me ,please what is the Russian for :

3) Label each picture. (Соотнести знаки и слова)

1. Listen to the airport announcements and decide if the information is about your flight or not. Ex.56, p.79

2. How should people behave asking for help and explaining their problems?
Work in pairs. Задания на слайдах . (повторить вопросительные предложения).Распечатать каждому схему вопросительного предложения.

3. At the check-in desk (показать слайд)

It’s time to check-in. David go to the check-in desk “AC-39, Vancouver. Departure 13.30”
1) The dialogue (Катя становится за стойку, Давид стоит чуть в стороне. У Кати посадочные талоны)

Of: Can I see your ticket and passport, please?

-Here they are.
Does the luggage belong to you?
-Yes, it does.
How many bags do you have to check in?
-One suitcase, please.
Do you have any hand luggage?
-Yes, I do.
Would you like an aisle [ail] seat or a window seat?
-Can we get one seat near the aisle?
Yes, that's no problem. You're in seats 27A window, 27B and 27C aisle[ail]. Your gate number is E8 and your flight boards at 12.30
-Thanks. Where do we go next?
Go to Gate E8, straight ahead then turn left

5. Read the information about getting through security (the announcement of an airport officer)
You need to put your hand luggage through the x-ray machine. Some items cannot be taken on board as hand luggage (such as knives, aerosol cans

 6. Read the instruction 8,9,10 In the departure lounge

7.Airport announcements: “Please proceed to gate number… (proceed = go to)

1) St: Hello, may I see your boarding passes, please?
Hello, here they are.
St: Thank you. Your seats are 27A, B, C. and 26 A,B,C. It’s on the right. Welcome aboard.

2) The announcement of the pilot on the plane ( запись на диск);

Pilot: “Ladies and Gentlemen, this is the pilot speaking. I would like to welcome you aboard Air Canada Flight 39, non-stop to Vancouver. We
currently flying at an attitude of 11,000 meters. Our flight approximately 8 hours and 45 minutes. We will arrive in Vancouver at about 4 a. m. If
there is anything we can do to make your trip with us more comfortable, please let us know. Otherwise, sit back and enjoy the flight. Thank you for
flying Air Canada.”
( Надя и Алена уходят за соками и меню)
3) The conversation between the stewardess and the passenger. Ира встает, обращается к классу:

St Ира: Fasten your seatbelts, please. The pilot is preparing for take off. Once we are in the air, we will be serving a light snack and something to
drink.
Pas (Сулейман): Excuse me, could you please tell me where the lavatory is?
St: Yes, it’s in the back of the plane. You see the sign “Lavatory”. If the door says “vacant”, you can go in, if it says “occupied”, you need to wait,
because someone is in there.
Pas: Thank you very much.
St: You are welcome.

4) Stewardess Саша :” Ladies and Gentlemen, may I have your attention, please?
The pilot has turned off the “Fasten Seatbelt” sign. But, when you are in your seat, please keep your seatbelts fastened at all times. Thank you.”
Выходят Алена и Надя.
5) St. Надя : Here is the Menu. (выписывают из меню новые слова)
 Алена: Would you like something to drink?
Геля: Could I have water with ice? Алиса: Could I have orange juice, please?
St.: Here you are.
StСаша: Please fill in this form before the plane lands. It's a Customs and Immigration form (Arrival card).
You will use that in the airport before you can enter the country. Саша раздает 8-классникам.
Заполняют a “Customs and Immigration form”. Arrival card.

6) The Arrival
St Аня.: Our plane arrived to airport Vancouver. Thank you for flying Air Canada!
Давид: We had a good trip. Thanks for your help.
St.: It was our pleasure and we hope to see you again.

IV. At Customs (по прилету в Канаду) . Соин Никита-Давид

C.: Where are you from?
Russia
C.: May I see your passport?
Sure.
C.: Are you travelling alone?
No, we are 6.
C.: Have you been here before?
No, I haven’t.
C.: What’s the purpose of your visit?
I want to see Canada and learn English.
C.: Where are you going to stay?
In Vancouver with a Canadian family.
C.: How long are you going to be here?
For two weeks.
C.: Do you have anything to declare?
No, I don’t.
C.: Have a good time in Canada.
