Цель дисциплины
Уметь:
- использовать в профессиональной деятельности знание иностранного
языка;
- рассказывать о себе, своем окружении, своих планах, высказывать и
аргументировать свою точку зрения на обсуждаемую тему;
- читать и переводить со словарем тексты страноведческого, общенаучного
характера;
- читать и понимать без словаря тексты, содержащие диалоги по пройденной
тематике и ситуациям общения;
- создавать материал для устных презентаций с использованием
мультимедийных технологий;
- излагать сведения о себе в формах (в автобиографии, в резюме);
Владеть:
- основными коммуникативными грамматическими структурами и умением
их реализовывать в различных ситуациях;
- навыком деловой устной и письменной коммуникации на иностранном
языке в профессиональной сфере общения;
- навыками осуществления поиска, систематизации и обобщения иноязычной
информации в рамках профессиональной коммуникации.

Глоссарий
Academic learning time – the time a student is actively engaged with the subject matter and
experiencing a high success rate.
Accreditation – certifying an education program or school that has met professional standards of
an outside agency.
Achievement tests – examinations of the knowledge and skills acquired usually as a result of
specific instruction.
Certification – state government evaluation and approval providing an applicant with a license
to teach.
Classroom climate – a term that refers to the physical, emotional, and aesthetic characteristics
as well as the learning resources of a school classroom.
Curriculum – planned content of instruction that enables the academic process to meet its aim.
Engaged time – the part of time that a teacher schedules for a subject in which the students are
actively involved with academic subject matter. Listening to a lecture, participating in a class
discussion, and working on math problems all constitute engaged time.
Evaluation – assessment of learning and instruction.
Extra curriculum– the part of academic life that is comprised of activities such as sports,
academic and social clubs, drama, etc; many educators think that extracurriculum develops
important skills and values, including leadership, teamwork, creativity and diligence.
Open classroom – refers not only to an informal classroom environment but also to a
philosophy of education. Students pursue individual interests with the guidance and support of
the teacher; interest centers are created to promote this individualized instruction; and students
may have a significant influence in determining the nature and sequence of the curriculum. It is
sometimes referred to as “open education”.
Teacher centers – sites to provide training to improve teaching skills, inform teachers of current
educational research, and develop new curricular programs.
