Sandwich is an easy dish. I can even cook it myself. I need just take two slices of white
bread, some butter and a few piece of cheese or sausage. My mother likes to add
vegetables to the sandwiches. It may be cucumbers, tomatoes or lettuce leaves. I eat
sandwiches with vegetables too, but I usually prefer meat sandwiches. For example, my
favourite is the sandwich with a chicken cutlet. I also like sausage, pork, beef or turkey. I
am a good eater. So, my food should be filling and tasty.

My favourite food
Who among us does not like to have a good meal? Food is an essential part of our daily
life. I like mashed potato, pizza, cutlets and chicken, but spaghetti is my favorite dish. I
love it so much that I can eat it every day.
Spaghetti is a type of pasta. It is made from wheat noodles, which are boiled in water for
a short time. There are many types of spaghetti with different lengths and shapes. I
prefer long spaghetti, which cooked al dente (fully cooked but still firm to the bite).
Usually I eat this dish with vegetables or cheese, but sometimes I add a sauce. I can
make Bolognese sauce, tomato sauce, and cream sauce. Every one of them is really
tasty.
For some people pasta is just a fuel for energy. For me, it’s a pleasure. I love the taste
of the dish. That’s why I can eat spaghetti three times a day and never get bored.
Besides, I like it for ease of preparation. It is enough to boil pasta in water and add
cheese, vegetables or sauce to the dish. Yummy!
Для некоторых людей макароны – это просто заряд энергией. Для меня же это
удовольствие. Я люблю вкус этого блюда. Вот почему я могу есть спагетти
по три раза на дню, и это никогда мне не наскучит. Кроме того, я люблю их за
простоту приготовления. Достаточно просто сварить макароны и добавить
к блюду сыр, овощи или соус. Вкусняшка!
There are 4 of us in the family. My mother and my elder sister are usually responsible
for cooking. My father and I help them buying and carrying necessary food. All members
of my family like sport, so we keep a healthy and balanced diet. We also try to buy only
natural products, which are nit genetically-modified. The basis of our diet are
vegetables, fruits, dairy products, eggs, groats and pasta.
Both of my parents are good cooks, which is why we prefer eating home-made food.
For example, my family often eats different soups. Most of all I like borscht. It’s a special
type of sour red beet soup, which is tastier to eat with sour cream. We also often eat
porridges. My sister likes oat porridge with milk, but I prefer rice porridge with fruit syrup.
By the way, every day we eat a lot of fruits. Usually we have apples, oranges, bananas
and grapes. In summertime we also eat a lot of berries: strawberries, raspberries,
blueberries and others.
One famous English saying goes “We are what we eat”. And it’s true. My father says,
that we depend on food as well as the cars depend on petrol, for example. It’s our
natural fuel, which gives our body physical strength and health. So, I try to eat only
healthy food that to be always full of energy.

правда. Мой отец говорит, что мы зависим от еды, как автомобили, например,
зависят от бензина. Это наше натуральное топливо, которое придает
нашему телу физическую силу и здоровье. Так что, я стараюсь есть здоровую
пищу, чтобы всегда быть наполненным энергией.
