Цель урока: развить коммуникативную компетенцию учащихся по теме

«Спорт».

Задачи урока:
Обучающие:

 ознакомить учащихся со спортивными событиями в Великобритании;

 cформировать лексико-грамматические навыки по теме «Спорт» в
аудировании, чтении, говорении;
 совершенствовать навыки восприятия на слух и понимания нужной
информации;

 введение новой лексики.

 улучшить умение прогнозировать содержание текста по первым фразам;

 читать текст с целью поиска конкретной информации.

Развивающие:

 способствовать развитию произносительных навыков;

 развивать умение анализировать, обобщать и делать выводы;
 развивать навыки аудирования, перевода, чтения;
 cформировать навыки выступления перед аудиторией;
 развивать умение выражать свое мнение и аргументировать его.

Воспитательные:

 воспитывать интерес к географии и культурным особенностям другого

государства;
 воспитывать наблюдательность и заинтересованность;
 воспитывать эстетический вкус.
Тип урока: комбинированный

Активная лексика: лексические единицы по теме «Great British Sporting

Events» (competitors, extremely, get out of breath, majority, offers, take part in, raise
money for, charity, rase course and so on)

Оборудование: доска, учебник, аудиозапись.

Ход урока:

1) Организационный момент Teacher: Good afternoon, children! Glad

to see you. I want to know how do you
feel today.

Pupils: Good afternoon, teacher! We are

happy to see you, too! Everything’s good,
thanks.

Teacher: Good! So, tell me who’s absent

today?

Pupils: No one is absent today.

2) Постановка цели и задач 2.Teacher: Let’s have a look at the

урока. pictures on page 39. What do you see?
What do you think the topic of today’s
lesson will be?

Pupil: I see sport suits, marathons and so

on. So, today’s topic will be devoted to
sports events.

Teacher: Right you are! And what are we

going to do at our lesson, children?

Pupils: We’re going to learn about sport

events in the UK.

Teacher: Have you ever seen any British

 sporting events?

Pupil 1: I’ve seen horse racing on TV.

Pupil 2: No, I haven’t, but I’ve heard
about them from my father, who’s fan of
them, etc.

1. Чтение текстов 1.Teacher: Ok, I see. Let’s read the texts

2. Teacher: Great! I hope everyone’s

learned something new and interesting
from these texts. So, it’s time to work with
our words. Let’s work in pairs. I want you
to find the translation of the following
words (ex. 3a):

Competitors, extremely, to get out of, take

part in, offer, majority, raise money,
charity, race course, presenters, to
comment on, smart, championship,
spectators, compete.

Ученики ищут перевод незнакомых

слов и отвечают.

Pupil 1: extremely means “чрезвычайно
”

Pupil 2: take part in means “принимать

участие в чём-то”, etc.

Teacher: Now, since you’ve seen the

translation, I have a little task for you.
Let’s check how well you understood all
the words. You need to write down in
your copybooks a few sentences using
these words.

Ученики составляют предложения с

использованием новой лексики.

Pupil 1: There were a lot of excited

spectators at the marathon.

Pupil 2: People took part in this

competition to raise money for charity,
etc.

Teacher: Wow, these are such good

sentences! It seems that you can operate
well with the acquired knowledge. Now
let’s move to the ex.2. We need to match
our texts with some statements. Which
event:

(A) offers a cash prize?

(B) lasts the longest?
(C) is attended by British royalty?
(D) is a competition between two
teams?
Ученики ещё раз просматривают
тексты и сопоставляют их с
соответствующими утверждениями.
Pupil 1: Royal Ascot is attended by
British royalty, so the 3d text matches C.
Pupil 2: Boat Race is a competition
between two teams, son the 1st text
matches D, etc.
3.Teacher: As we’re coming to the end of
our lesson, I want you to show me how
freely you can operate with new
knowledge. Write a short story about the
competition in your country using new
words.
Ученики пишут небольшой рассказ о
соревнованиях, проходящих в их
 стране, используя новую лексику, а
после зачитывают.
Teacher: Oh, what a great job you’ve
done! I didn’t know that many of you are
fond of sports and especially attended
some events.
4) Подведение итогов. 4.Teacher: What have we done today?

Pupils: During this lesson we’ve learned

new words, read the texts, translated
them and learned a little bit more about

forget to use new words. Dear friends, I
enjoyed your work today, the lesson is
over you may be free, see you tomorrow!
